Cut

For Round, we prioritise Ideal/Excellent light performance (proportions, angles, symmetry). For fancy shapes, we select for minimal bow-tie, optimal spread, and balanced light return.

Premium Light Return Proportion Focused Fancy-Shape Standards
Fluorescence

Ranges from None to Strong. Faint/Medium may subtly soften warmth; strong fluorescence can be a stylistic choice or avoided depending on the desired look.

None / Faint Medium Strong
Polish

Facet surface quality that influences crisp reflections. We favour Excellent where feasible for a sharp, mirror-like finish.

Excellent Very Good Good
Symmetry

Facet alignment and balance. High symmetry complements cut to deliver consistent scintillation across the stone.

Excellent Very Good Good
Certification

We supply internationally recognised grading reports where applicable.

GIA IGI HRD
What’s on a grading report?
Shape, measurements, carat weight, color, clarity, cut (for Round), fluorescence, polish, symmetry, proportions diagram, and security features (report number / QR).
Carat & Size Guidance

Carat is weight, not face-up size. Two diamonds of identical carat can look different depending on cut and shape. Use this generic map for a rough sense only.

Approximate Round Face-up Diameters
0.25 ct · ~4.1 mm
0.50 ct · ~5.1 mm
0.75 ct · ~5.8 mm
1.00 ct · ~6.4 mm
1.50 ct · ~7.4 mm
2.00 ct · ~8.1 mm
Figures are indicative and vary by cut proportions.
Fancy Shapes (Indicative)
Ovals/Marquises often appear larger at the same carat due to elongation; Emerald/Asscher may face up smaller because of depth and step-cut architecture.

Share finger size, setting style, and visual goals (icy white, vintage warmth, maximal spread). We’ll recommend the right spec mix.

Diamond Knowledge
Balancing the 4Cs
For Round, prioritise cut; then colour/clarity to taste and budget. Fancy shapes require proportion checks to avoid bow-tie and windowing.
Eye-Clean vs Paper-Clean
A well-chosen VS2 or SI1 can appear clean while saving budget relative to VVS/IF. Inclusion type/position matters more than just the grade.
Metal & Color Perception
White metals (platinum/white gold) flatter higher color; yellow/rose gold complements warmer tones (G–J) beautifully.
